The Experience

This isn’t going to be about individual experiences I had in Hawaii. It is going to be about the broad strokes of this event, mt first, that made it the experience it was. Not to say that Eric’s teachings and Dreamscapes weren’t amazing. They were the cake but what I am going to share now is the icing that make it complete.

The experience of meeting someone you have known your whole life or lives for the first time:

Showing up at the airport in Hilo and being instantly drawn to a group of Navigators waiting for the shuttle. I had walked by other groups of people waiting at the curb but when I got close to this group I just knew. It was an experience that was carried through the whole week. Many times I had great with people only to later realize that you forgot to introduce yourself and had no clue what their name was. You didn’t need introductions since you already knew them. At least that is what it felt like.

Which thinking about it now is well sad. I know not everyone there is active on the Nav. Site or if they are what they go by. So if you are here remind me of who you are.

The experience of being with other White Cells and Navigators:

Sitting around the tables at the dinning lanai during meals or late at night, around the pool, in the Blue Moon room before and after events, down at the point or along the shore, or any other place that people gathered. It was amazing to talk, joke, laugh, discuss, share, listen and just interact with other. You could say it was like being with family but even that doesn’t feel right it is closer that. It was really cool watching the coaches interact with everyone and each other was great. Seeing them in their everyday “I” outside of coaching or filing orders on the phone was a treat.

The experience of group meditation:

This being my first retreat. The amount of energy that was built up and how in sync everyone was it was incredible. I am told that the syncing up so early in the week was new at this retreat. The babbler didn’t have a chance. There was so much energy that my body didn’t know how to deal with it. I often found my body trebling and/or weeping during and afterwards. It can be described only experienced.

They did auction off a flash drive with all the meditation music on it. It would be awesome if that person decided to share it with the rest of us.

The experience of the soundtrack:

I am not talking about the meditation mixes or the dreamscapes. Which were all amazing by the way. What I am refereeing to is the music that the coaches and Eric play before and after each event. It really set the mood so to speak.

Hopefully we can get them all to share some playlists with us. That way we could put together an Across the Universe Soundtrack. You would have to find a way include Tim’s violin pieces though.

That's what I got for now. I am working on the individual experiences. It is kind of hard to do I am finding out. Words seem to be failing the experience but I am trying.

Changing the Fabric of Thought

"He who cannot change the very fabric of his thought will never be able to change reality."

- Anwar al-Sadat

I came to work this morning and found this quote in my email inbox. The topic of changing reality has been a popular one on the Higher Balance Institute(HBI) Navigator Forum. They, including myself, aren't really trying to change reality so much as to influence and greater good. Eric Pepin posted a question and proposed an exercise.

If you had to choose three things that you could effect in this world, what would they be and why. Now I expect to get all the normal stuff like love and peace and of course it goes without saying I want the same things. Let me say it differently. A watch and all of its mechanical parts all operate together in order to give you some results like the time of day, the date and month etc. In this case I am suggesting rather than spreading like a color wave on the earth only to be faded in by the noise to concentrate on a few things specifically.

What would they be?

- Eric J. Pepin (1/27/2009)

So if you could, and you can, change the fabric of their own thought enough to reach a high enough state of mind to influence the reality around us what would you choose?

Not an easy question. I am sure many people would cringe and run way at the very idea that they could do such thing. In reality though, no pun intended, they are the ones that would probably make the best decision. Those that would jump at this idea or ability most likely have their own needs placed in front of the greater good for the whole of humanity. Something else to keep in mind is that short term turmoil can often lead to a better future for all.

Stratled Awake

Last night I had an intense dream that woke me up with a start. As I am writing this I can’t remember what the dream was about. Not that it really matters. What I want to share with you isn’t the dream but what happen when slash as I woke up.

The way I woke up was almost exactly like you see on TV or in a movie. When someone wakes up from a nightmare. Sitting straight up in bed awhile take a loud grasping breath in. This of course woke my wife up as well. I can remember maybe one other time in my life where I have woken up like this. But this was different from that time because I as was opening my eyes it was like a strobe light flashed once in our room. Both of us saw it! A little freaked out I collected myself and tried to investigate what cause the flash. I thought maybe a the power had surged and went out. I turned on my bedside lamp and could tell that the power was still working. we checked all the electronics in the room. All the lights were working, no flashing clocks, a power strip that had a couple of thing plugged into, including a humidifier, was still working and did not trip.

I started to check the rest of the house, nothing. Check the backyard where our window faces, nothing.

I was on nerve in two ways. One I hope that my house isn’t going to start on fire from an electrical short. I even grabbed a fire extinguisher and placed it by the bed. Two, who knows what else is going on. I tried doing some scanning and feeling around the room, house, and surrounding area. I couldn’t really feel much other then my own alertness and nerves. So I put up a pyramid around the whole house for good measure and tried to get some more sleep.

It was a very strange experience that had me freaked out the rest of the night.

As I am reliving the experience I am not sure wether I awoke from a startled dream or from the flash of light. Either way I still am trying to explain the flash.

It Is Time to Awaken!
